Yuriy Yuryevich Vitrenko
- former head of Naftogaz, former Director of Business Development at Naftogaz Ukraine.
Place of Birth. Education. Born on September 17, 1976, in Kyiv. Father - Yuriy Nikolaevich Vitrenko, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Lecturer. Mother - Natalia Vitrenko - Ukrainian politician, leader of the Progressive Socialist Party of Ukraine, Member of Ukraine's Parliament in the II and III Parliaments. Spent his childhood in Kyiv. His father worked in the USSR's state planning department in the 80s and began a ministerial career, while his mother was a lecturer at the Statistics Department of the Institute of National Economy. After the divorce of his parents in 1991, Yuriy lived with his father. He attended school No. 172 from the age of 5. After the 8th grade, he entered the economic class of Gymnasium No. 153 and simultaneously studied at the KROK Kiev Business School for high school students (starting in 1993 - Kiev Business Lyceum).
In 1996 - graduated with honors in Economics from the National University of Economics in Kyiv, majoring in International Economics.

In 1997 - graduated with honors from the Master's program at KNEU, majoring in 'International Business Management'. While studying at KNEU, he interned at Iowa State University of Science and Technology, USA, and participated in international student conferences.
From 1997 to 2000 - studied in the postgraduate program at the Institute of International Relations, majoring in International Economic Relations.
In 2002 - after passing 14 qualification exams and acquiring the necessary practical experience, he became a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) - one of the most recognized international accounting organizations. Since 2007, he is a Fellow of this Association.
In 2004, he completed the MBA program at the international business school INSEAD (France, Singapore). After graduating from business school, he interned at the investment bank Merrill Lynch.
In 2005, he became an associate member (ASI) of the Securities and Investment Institute in London, Level 3 certificate, Securities, Financial Derivatives (Certificate in Investments, Securities & Financial Derivatives).
Career. From 1992-1993, he worked as an analyst at the Ukrainian Financial Group.
From 1995 to 1996, he worked at JSC Ukreksimbank as a second-category specialist in the department for foreign economic activity and international settlements.
From 1998 to 2002, he held various positions in the management consulting department of a leading international audit and consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (Coopers & Lybrand before the merger with Price Waterhouse), last serving as a Senior Manager for Management Affairs in the Management Consulting Department.
Since 2002, he participated in a project to develop the strategy of Naftogaz Ukraine and a project to create a vertically integrated oil company as Vice Chairman. Since then, he has collaborated with this company, holding various positions - Deputy Chairman, Head of the Corporate Finance Department, Chief Advisor to the Chairman, Non-Executive Advisor to the Chairman, Director of Business Development.
From 2004 to 2005, he was Head of the Financial Planning Department, Head of Corporate Finance at Naftogaz Ukraine.
From 2005 to 2006, he worked in the investment banking department of Merrill Lynch's London office.
From 2006 to 2007, he served as an advisor and then chief advisor to the board of Naftogaz Ukraine.
From 2008 to 2010, he held the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Private Equity Fund Amstar Europe (an international fund group Amstar headquartered in Denver, USA).
From 2008 to 2014, he was involved as one of the organizers of the restructuring of Naftogaz Ukraine's international debt (through exchange for Eurobonds) in the position of Non-Executive Advisor to the Board of Naftogaz Ukraine. After a change of leadership in the company in 2010, Yuriy was retained as an extraordinary advisor.
In 2010, he founded the investment company AYA Capital.
On November 13, 2018, he was appointed Executive Director of Naftogaz Ukraine.
In April 2019, Yuri Vitrenko was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PJSC Ukrnafta.
In October 2019, Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Yuri Vitrenko as a member of the Supervisory Board of the state concern Ukroboronprom.
On June 11, 2020, Yuri Vitrenko was dismissed by Naftogaz Ukraine as the representative of the shareholders in the Supervisory Board of Ukrnafta.
