Ukraine's Natural Gas Tariff for February 2026

According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian households will see no increase in their natural gas tariff in February 2026. The price will remain fixed at UAH 7.96 per cubic meter for the majority of consumers. This price stability comes as many households continue to manage their budgets carefully. However, some residents may receive a separate, third invoice for the technical maintenance of the gas distribution networks, which is a standard, periodic charge.

The gas tariff for the general population will stay unchanged during this period. Meanwhile, the gas distribution tariff for non-household consumers will be UAH 1.69 per cubic meter per month (excluding VAT) until March 31, 2026. Starting April 1, 2026, this distribution tariff will rise to UAH 1.99 per cubic meter per month (excluding VAT).

Maintenance Fees for Gas Networks

It is important to note that this maintenance fee is billed to consumers only once every three or five years. The frequency depends on the age of the local gas infrastructure. Networks that have been in operation for more than 25 years require maintenance every three years, while those under 25 years old are serviced every five years.

  • The minimum cost for this technical maintenance exceeds UAH 100.
  • The maximum fee can be over UAH 1,000.

Therefore, despite the stability of the gas tariff itself in February 2026, some consumers may be obligated to pay this maintenance charge, which is a significant factor for household budget planning. In the current economic climate, it's crucial for families to account for both the cost of consumed gas and these additional, periodic network service fees that impact their overall financial burden.
