Ukrainian Household Gas Prices Frozen Until End of Martial Law.
Gas Tariffs for Households Set for March 2026
According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian gas suppliers have announced their tariffs for households for March 2026, confirming that prices will remain unchanged for the duration of the country's martial law. This means Ukrainian consumers will pay the same rate for gas as they have in recent months. The nation's energy supply is currently managed by eight different gas distribution companies. This price freeze provides a measure of economic predictability during a period of significant national upheaval.
Rates from Gas Supply Companies
The majority of consumers, approximately 98%, are served by the state-owned company 'Naftogaz', which charges 7.96 UAH per cubic meter. The same rate of 7.96 UAH per cubic meter is offered by 'TERNOPILOBLGAZ ZBUT' LLC. 'PRIKARPAT ENERGO TRADE' LLC has set a price of 7.98 UAH, while 'GALNAFTOGAZ' LLC and 'OKKO CONTRACT' PP offer a tariff of 7.99 UAH per cubic meter.
Companies with higher tariffs include:
- 'LVIVENERGOZBUT' LLC, which offers an annual rate of 8.20 UAH per cubic meter and a monthly rate of 24.90 UAH.
- 'KYIV ENERGY SERVICES' (YASNO) LLC with a tariff of 8.46 UAH per cubic meter for both annual and monthly contracts.
- 'DNIPRO ENERGY SERVICES' (YASNO) LLC also offers a tariff of 8.46 UAH per cubic meter.
- 'RETAIL SERVICE' TM 'SvitloGaz' has the highest tariffs, with an annual rate of 9.99 UAH and a monthly rate of 25.99 UAH per cubic meter.
Additionally, the fee for gas distribution is calculated based on the consumer's gas usage from the previous gas year, which runs from October 1st to September 30th. Payment for this distribution service must be made by the 20th of each month.
Consequently, Ukrainians can expect stable gas prices in March 2026, a significant piece of news given the ongoing martial law. The stability of these tariffs is crucial for household budgeting amidst broader economic pressures.
Maintaining stable gas tariffs during this period is vital for Ukrainian consumers, as it allows for financial planning under difficult economic conditions.
In a time of war, when many aspects of life are uncertain, fixed energy costs can help alleviate the financial burden on the population and provide a degree of social stability.
