What Ukrainians Will Pay for Electricity, Gas, and Water Starting April 1.
Utility Rates in Ukraine as of April 1, 2026
According to Novyny.live: Starting April 1, 2026, utility tariffs across Ukraine will remain unchanged from current levels. The price for electricity is set at 4.32 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour. For nighttime usage—between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM—the rate drops to 2.16 hryvnias per kWh. Households consuming up to 2,000 kWh per month will benefit from a reduced rate of 2.64 hryvnias per kWh.
Natural gas prices will also hold steady at 7.96 hryvnias per cubic meter. Special pricing conditions for district heating companies will remain in effect until September 30, 2026. These measures indicate that the government is maintaining stability in the energy sector for the near term.
Potential Shifts in Water Costs
Water tariffs, however, are not protected by a moratorium, meaning they could be adjusted at any time. While no specific changes have been announced yet, consumers should be aware that water bills may rise in the future. This creates some uncertainty, even as electricity and gas costs remain predictable.
The freeze on electricity and gas rates helps households and businesses plan their budgets without sudden spikes in expenses. Yet the possibility of water price increases introduces a degree of risk, urging consumers to stay informed about updates from water suppliers. Overall, the government continues to regulate most utility tariffs closely, but the water segment remains a variable to watch.
