Heating tariffs in Ukraine: where the highest prices are at the start of the season.
According to inkorr.com: In Ukraine, the heating season starts in October when heating supply is activated, which begins after three days when the average temperature drops below +8°C. The first heating is received by kindergartens, schools, and hospitals, and only after that - residential buildings.
Despite the fact that during martial law the heating tariffs remain unchanged, it is worth noting that there is a significant difference in the cost of heating supply between different regions. Experts from 'Slovay i Dila' have recorded substantial discrepancies in tariffs among regional centers.
The highest tariff is recorded in Kherson - 2,002.2 UAH per Gcal. Next in the ranking are Zhytomyr - 1,964.3 UAH, Rivne - 1,913.2 UAH, Mykolaiv - 1,873.4 UAH, and Odesa - 1,813.9 UAH.
Tariffs in large cities
In Kyiv, the cost of heating is 1,654.4 UAH per Gcal, in Dnipro - 1,741.3 UAH, and in Zaporizhzhia - 1,655.1 UAH. Kharkiv and Lviv have the same tariff - 1,539.5 UAH.
The cost of heating supply in Khmelnytskyi is 1,597.7 UAH, in Sumy - 1,559.7 UAH. Cherkasy has a tariff of 1,407.9 UAH, while Chernihiv has 1,406.9 UAH. Vinnytsia has set a price of 1,314.1 UAH per Gcal.
Among regional centers, the lowest tariffs are observed in Ivano-Frankivsk (1,285.1 UAH), Poltava (1,267.3 UAH), and Chernivtsi - 1,204.6 UAH per Gcal.
In some cities, the price may vary due to different suppliers. For example, Transcarpathia switched to individual heating systems back in 2004.
It is recommended to pay attention to the prices of gas and firewood in the context of new tariffs to better understand the costs of heating.
Comparing heating prices in different regions allows Ukrainians to better plan their budgets for the winter period. Given potential changes in resource supplies, it is important to stay updated on current tariffs to avoid unforeseen expenses.Read also
