Scandal involving former Premier League referee: teenager accuses him of harassment.
Scandal involving former Premier League referee
According to The Sun: An 18-year-old referee claims that former Premier League official David Coote attempted to manipulate him by sending inappropriate messages about sex and drugs. The young man called for Coote to be punished, who acknowledged his guilt in a child pornography case:
“He should go to jail and must not escape punishment like Hugh Edwards”
The young referee was responsible for officiating matches as an assistant and is now a victim of unacceptable behavior from Coote. This situation has drawn attention to ethical issues in the sports environment and the need to protect young professionals from such manipulations.
The scandal has once again highlighted the importance of adhering to moral standards in sports institutions and the existence of mechanisms to respond to inappropriate behavior that can negatively impact the careers of young talents.
