A cottage on a cliff has hit the market for £1.25 million, offering incredible sea views and an interesting feature. This seaside house, located in St Martin's-by-Looe, has 10 bedrooms and breathtaking views. 'A released Class II cottage on the cliff has ten bedrooms and an amazing secret,' it states. 'In addition to ten bedrooms, the new owners will gain access to ten acres.' On the premises, there is also a primate sanctuary that currently houses 29 monkeys rescued from private trade in the UK. The charity Wild Futures is seeking a buyer to continue their important work caring for these monkeys. Many of the rescued monkeys need specialized care, and the area spans ten acres with ample space for their swings and play. The 5,434 square feet cottage needs updates, with outdated decor and furniture throughout the property. With 10 bedrooms, five bathrooms, several outbuildings, and a long private driveway with ample parking, the unique property offers plenty of space. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, the sanctuary is closed for the 2025 season, focusing on monkey care. The charity Wild Futures hopes the new owner will allow the sanctuary to continue, but requests a reasonable extension if they are tasked with leaving the land. 'We want to stay here as we want to continue our important work and provide a lifelong home for the rescued monkeys – something we have been doing for the last 60 years,' said a Wild Futures representative. 'A special enclosure for rescued monkeys has been created on the grounds,' it adds. 'The Wild Futures charity has previously welcomed visitors' and 'the property boasts stunning sea views.' Founded in 1964, Wild Futures was established by Len Williams, the father of John Williams, to care for rescued woolly monkeys and has since grown into a leading animal welfare charity for primates in the UK. Focusing on rescue, education, and campaigns for primates, the charity is offering the cottage for £1.25 million through Scott Parry Associates, hoping that a new buyer will support the sanctuary's mission.
