According to The Sun: A stunning incident occurred on the highway when a car soared through the air, crossing six lanes of traffic during rush hour.

A 70-year-old man was captured on camera as he suddenly accelerated, crossing a grassy embankment and then soaring off a hill.

This man's Honda took flight on the Sunrise Highway turn – one of the busiest routes on Long Island.

Despite landing on a tree on the opposite side of the road, the man suffered only minor injuries.

It is truly a miracle that no one else was harmed at that moment.

“It looked like a meteor flying across the highway,” said another driver, Brandon Hayasint, who captured this dramatic scene on his camera.

He added: “At first, I didn’t realize it was a car.”

The acting chief of the Bay Shore Fire Department, John Ippolito Jr., noted that the car was traveling significantly faster than the posted speed of 30 miles per hour.

“To get that kind of lift and to go up the embankment, there had to be high speed,” he added in a conversation with News12.

The reasons the driver lost control remain unclear at this time.

The man was transported to the nearest hospital for observation.

Injury of Former Footballer

This incident occurred just days after former Premier League star Abdeslam Ouaddou 'cheated death' in a horrific road accident.

The 46-year-old Moroccan defender was struck by a pickup truck on Sunday while trying to assist victims of another car accident.

Ouaddou along with five of his colleagues were taken to the hospital.

Now the head coach of Orlando Pirates football club, Ouaddou and his team were returning from a match when they stopped to provide assistance.

“The Nissan NP200 truck collided with parked vehicles, hitting the group and causing serious injuries,” said an official club statement.

The club noted that Ouaddou along with the five injured colleagues were immediately transported to the hospital, where they received medical attention.

“The club is in close contact with the medical team and will provide updates on their recovery in due course.”

These two incidents, occurring almost simultaneously, highlight the dangers on the roads and the importance of adhering to safety rules. In both cases, tragic consequences were avoided, but these events remind us of the risks that drivers and pedestrians face daily.
