Tesco offers customers the opportunity to load money onto their Clubcard and also incentivizes them with a small bonus for savings.
In November, the supermarket will send you vouchers for the total amount of your savings, which can be spent during the holiday.
Additionally, you can top up your savings throughout the year with your funds.
The maximum bonus this year is £12, and here’s how the bonuses are distributed:
- £1.50 for saving between £25 and £49
- £3 for saving between £50 and £99
- £6 for saving between £100 and £199
- £12 for saving between £200 and £360
Customers can use the bonus vouchers online at Tesco, in stores, or on fuel.
To take advantage of this offer, you need to load your Clubcard throughout the year via the Tesco app or the Clubcard website.
Shama Wilson, Tesco's Director of Membership and Loyalty, said: 'We know that Clubcard Christmas Savers is always popular as it helps our customers save on big expenses before Christmas, plus they can receive up to £12 in bonus from us. 'In the meantime, the time for this year's program is running out, but we are giving our customers three more days until October 19 to save even more for the holiday season.'
What other programs are available?
Tesco is not the only supermarket offering savings promotions before Christmas. Sainsbury's has a similar program that helps its customers save money while preparing for the holidays.
Customers can start loading their card from the beginning of the year, and they will receive the reward in November. Specifically, shoppers receive a 5% cash bonus, which amounts to £2.50 for every £50 loaded onto the card on November 1.
Asda also offers a Christmas savings card that helps customers prepare for the holiday. This gift card can be spent or topped up at any time, with the possibility of receiving a bonus in November depending on your balance.
Morrisons offers a Christmas savings card through its More app. Items are purchased in-store by asking the cashier how much you want to load. Then the Morrisons More card should be scanned to link the stamps to your account.
The maximum bonus for the Morrisons program is £6.
Thus, various supermarkets in the UK offer beneficial savings programs that allow customers to better prepare for the holidays. Choosing the right program can significantly save money for many shoppers in the run-up to Christmas.
