Kylian Mbappe's mother reveals son's problems: He has no life outside of football

Off-field problems

Last season, the 26-year-old player scored 44 goals after moving from PSG, and this season he already has 14 goals in ten matches, highlighting his world-class talents. However, according to his mother, Fayza Lamari, Mbappe struggles to balance his busy career and personal life.

Lamari expressed her 'sorrow' about her son's personal life, noting that he "can't even walk down the street" and has no time for a girlfriend. She said:

"He feels much more comfortable on the pitch than off it. He has no life outside the pitch, but this is the life he has chosen."

She also mentioned that last year she talked to him about the possibility of having a girlfriend:

"He replied: 'Do you see a woman in this hustle?' He even tried to go out just to understand what it's like to be an ordinary person. It upsets me."

Mental health warning

Lamari warned that Mbappe could face a 'mental health crisis' if he doesn't learn to manage his time better:

"He may experience a mental health crisis at some point in his life. I would like to talk to him about this. You need to put yourself in his shoes."

"He has no life! And that must be hard for him."

Last month, Mbappe shared his thoughts on how mental health remains a taboo in football:

"The difficulty lies in the fact that people deal with it. You don't need to show it."

Kylian Mbappe's personal life issues raise important questions about how professional sports affect athletes' mental health. As Mbappe's case shows, life at the top of sports often comes with harsh sacrifices, raising concerns not only for his mother but also for the wider football fan community.
