Lack of payments for millions of Britons
More than a million people are likely not receiving a benefit that can amount to up to £110.40 a week, according to new data. Approximately 1.9 million individuals in the UK receive Attendance Allowance, according to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). However, analysts from Policy in Practice indicate that up to 1.1 million people may be missing out on this payment.'This is a significant amount that could substantially help many who need it,' claims an expert. It is important to note that many people are unaware of their rights to receive such benefits, leading to underfunding of vulnerable groups who require support. This issue remains relevant, as in the face of ongoing economic challenges, the ability to receive financial assistance is extremely important for many families in the UK. An information campaign could be the key to addressing this problem and helping people obtain what they are entitled to.
