The Tottenham Stadium opened in 2019 and remains the only NFL facility outside the USA specifically designed for these purposes. It is also the official home of the NFL in Great Britain.

NFL's Future Plans

NFL experts believe that the possibility of hosting the Super Bowl in Great Britain is already being discussed at a serious level.

“In my mind, there are no doubts — it is a matter of time. I would bet that it will happen within the next five years,”
said Ndamukong Suh, Super Bowl champion.

NFL owners are seriously examining the possibility of moving the Super Bowl to the international stage. In particular, Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, is one of the biggest supporters of this idea. The league is actively expanding its international presence, holding three games in London this season, with a total of seven games planned outside the USA.

Other Details

Among the new potential cities for games are Dublin, Madrid, Berlin, and plans to return to Brazil and hold a game in Australia in Melbourne next year. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell wants every team to play at least one international game per season, aiming for 16 games abroad each year.

By the end of this month, London will have already hosted 42 NFL games since their first games in 2007, and fans may soon witness the most important night in sports.

“The Super Bowl is about the experience. Imagine it in London. It has never happened before. That’s why it’s going to happen,”
added Sky Sports expert Jason Bell.

The match between Broncos and Jets will take place at the Tottenham Stadium this Sunday at 2:30 PM. Then, on October 19, there will be a game at Wembley, where Jacksonville Jaguars will meet LA Rams, with live coverage on Sky Sports NFL.

Thus, the Tottenham Stadium, already known for its unique design and history, has every chance to become the first venue to host the Super Bowl in Europe. This could not only strengthen the NFL's position on the international stage but also provide new experiences for numerous American football fans eager to see the big final in their country.
