The British hotel and restaurant sector has lost 89,000 jobs: reasons for the crisis.
According to The Sun: Only after the October budget did the hospitality industry lose over one and a half thousand jobs, which accounts for half of all losses in the labor market. Such sad figures are provided by a trade organization, thereby confirming the huge impact of budget decisions on this sector of the economy.
According to an analysis from UKHospitality and the Office for National Statistics, more than half of all job losses in the UK since the autumn budget have occurred in the hospitality sector. Every 25 jobs in pubs, hotels, cafes, restaurants, and bars have been lost.
The head of UKHospitality, Kate Nicholls, emphasized that the government's regressive tax increases have seriously hit this sector. Planned and unfair expenses have forced businesses to make unpopular decisions about layoffs, hiring less flexible and full positions.
The situation in the hospitality sector is complicated by significant job losses, leading to overload for the remaining employees and intensifying competition in the labor market.
