Speedway event in England interrupted due to accident: Racer's motorcycle crashed into the stands.
The BSN series semi-final in Redcar was halted
According to The Sun: The semi-final match of the BSN series between the Redcar and Glasgow teams was stopped on Sunday evening due to a horrific incident.
During the home stage, Jake Allen crashed in the 14th race: his motorcycle flew over the free boundary barrier and landed among the fans at the fourth turn of the ECCO arena.
GettyAccording to reports, three fans were injured due to the uncontrolled motorcycle and required medical assistance.
It is known that the injured fans managed to reach the ambulance without assistance.
Moreover, the free barrier at the fourth turn was heavily damaged and is no longer repairable.
At the time of the incident, Redcar was leading 43-41, which meant an equal score of 87-87 after the two races.
The final decision regarding the outcome will be made by the Speedway Control Board.
Glasgow chief Cami Brown stated: “Right now our thoughts are with the fans who were injured in the incident. This was a terrible moment, and we hope everyone is okay. The result does not matter at this time.”
“Clearly, the situation is complicated since the semi-final is tied overall. We await further instructions from the SCB.”
It is worth noting that earlier in Glasgow, Freddy Hodder was also injured due to a fall in the 2nd race.
In August, Allen was at the center of events when he got into a brawl with former British champion Charles Wright after the 6th race at the Teesside track.
The 36-year-old Wright collided with Allen after the round ended, provoking an aggressive reaction from Allen, who immediately hit Wright. After that, a scuffle ensued, which required the intervention of several officials to separate them.
