The former super middleweight champion, who last stepped into the ring 13 years ago, is considering a comeback.

Froch has found himself in the spotlight after meeting former UFC fighter Darren Till, who has already made a name in KSi's Misfits Boxing promotion.

Till, 32 years old, approached Froch after an impressive knockout of former UFC champion Luke Rockhold at the end of last month.

Froch admitted that the prospect of making “easy money” from a fight with Till prompted him to discuss this possibility with boxing representatives such as manager Mams Taylor, former trainer Rob McCracken, and promoter Eddie Hearn.

He shared his thoughts in one of the videos on his YouTube channel, noting:

“Do I need this? Do I really want it? No and again no.”

However, he added:

“I just thought it worth hearing the opinion of people I respect.”

Froch continued:

“I spoke with Rob McCracken, my old trainer, and the feedback was positive, even more than I expected.”

He also noted that he has been in touch with Kalle Sauerland, who actively supports Misfits, and that he is negotiating with family and friends, keeping this possibility open.

Froch emphasized:

“I do not rule out the possibility.”

“I am also training a bit at the gym. When I return [from the Canelo vs Crawford fight], I will see what is happening.”

“I think there is potential. The idea that I can gather a team for one last outing honestly seems very appealing.”

Darren Till left the UFC voluntarily in March 2023 after a series of defeats, three of which were by submission.

Froch expressed doubts about Till's determination, noting:

“The last time I saw Darren Till in the ring, he seemed to give up very quickly.”

This situation underscores the unexpected turns in the careers of boxers who have already retired from professional activity. Carl Froch, while trying to understand whether he should return, has already sparked considerable interest in a potential fight. At the same time, such fights for influencers continue to gain popularity, as new opportunities arise not only for earning money but also for a return to the sports arena.
