Children's Autumn Room Decorations

According to The Sun: Use autumn treasures — fallen leaves, chestnuts, ferns — to create simple crafts at home.

Invite children to join the creative process or do it yourself.

Here are some ideas for activities.

Leaf Piles of Fun

Kids love playing in fresh piles of leaves and admiring the bright colors. Encourage them to search for different shapes and shades.

Leaves can be used for pressing with colored pencils on paper or drawing veins and impressing them on a sheet. With glue, create animal or monster figures, and at the end, children can draw faces on them.

Autumn Wreath

An autumn wreath will look great on your door. Use bright leaves, twigs with berries, chestnuts, or even small pumpkins.

First, purchase a wreath base. For example, a metal ring can be found at Hobbycraft for £2. Or cut it out of cardboard: just trace a plate to get a circle and cut a smaller circle for the inner part.

Cover the base with large red or yellow leaves. You can tie the leaves together and attach them to the ring with wires, but it's easier to use strong glue. Glues at Hobbycraft sell for £5, which are quite suitable for this.

The leaves will look nice if arranged in the same direction around the ring. Add any other decoration to your taste. It is recommended to first arrange the elements without glue to see how everything will look when finished.

Decoration Made from Fresh Leaves

Another great idea is the decoration made from beautiful autumn leaves that can be hung on the wall.

Hobbycraft has a detailed online guide, but you will only need a small twig, various leaves, and string. Tie each leaf on pieces of string of different lengths, then attach to the twig at equal distances.

The leaves will hang at different levels.

Finish with a piece of string slightly longer than the twig to allow you to hang your decoration.
