Deadly Discovery on the Outskirts of Kyiv

According to Espreso.tv: Around 11:00 PM, the buried remains of a woman were uncovered just outside Kyiv, marking a grim development in the investigation into an attempted murder of billionaire Vadym Yermolayev. Authorities have named Anastasiia Berezovska as the prime suspect, and Interpol has placed her on its wanted list. The assassination attempt involved an explosion that left several people injured, including Yermolayev himself.

Key Details of the Case

Vadym Yermolayev, 58, was estimated to be worth $221 million in 2021 and is a father of four. His known assets include:

  • The 'MIST-City' shopping and entertainment center
  • 'Cascade Plaza'
  • The 'Bosphorus' business center

His business group, 'Alef,' was involved in manufacturing aerated concrete, PVC profiles, seamless pipes, dental implants, and cultivating premium apple varieties.

Two other individuals have been detained in connection with the case, one of whom is an active officer with the Main Intelligence Directorate. Berezovska was outside Ukraine from March 22, 2025, to July 1, 2026, a fact that complicates the investigation and efforts to fully establish the circumstances.

The tragedy and surrounding events have captured public attention, as they involve a high-profile businessman and potential criminal networks that may have been linked to the assassination attempt.

This incident highlights the growing risks for business figures in Ukraine, where conflicts over commercial interests can escalate into violence and criminal acts. The investigation into the attack on Vadym Yermolayev, along with the search for Anastasiia Berezovska, may uncover further connections to organized crime within the country. The public will be closely watching how the case unfolds, as its outcome could impact Ukraine’s business climate and legal landscape.
