Tommy Fury breaks silence after incident at the Great North Run

According to The Sun: Tommy Fury spoke out after the incident where he pushed a runner at the finish of the Great North Run.

This act caused outrage as he abruptly surged at the end of the half marathon.

The boxer pushed two participants while trying to reach the finish line.

Fury, 26, has shocked many with his unconventional style at race finishes, and this time in Newcastle, he pushed two other runners.

His behavior drew widespread condemnation, including from one of those he knocked down.

However, Fury seems unfazed by the criticism and is focused on his partner Molly-Mae Hague.

After the former Love Island contestant received an award for Best Documentary at the NTA Awards, Fury generously praised her on social media.

“Words are not enough! So proud of you. Well done,” - he wrote.

Molly-Mae, in turn, acknowledged Fury on the red carpet when asked about his documentary.

“Yes, I am very proud of him. I think he did an amazing job. They [the team] created something truly impressive, and we support each other. We are all very proud,” - she said.

Personal life and plans

Molly-Mae and Fury met while filming the fifth season of Love Island in 2019.

The attractive contestants remained together even after the show ended.

After a brief breakup last August, Molly-Mae confirmed that the couple was back together in her documentary.

She also praised the boxer after he completed the finish of a 100-kilometer triathlon, although it later emerged that he lied about completing it.

“I left it all on the French Riviera. 100km triathlon with 10 days of training... completed,” - he said after an emotional reunion with Molly-Mae and their daughter Bambi at the finish line.

Molly-Mae shared her emotions, emphasizing how “proud” she was of him. After it became known about his fainting at the finish, he wrote: “Laugh at my form, but could you sprint after a 100-kilometer triathlon?”

This challenging route includes three stages: 2 km swimming, 80 km cycling, and finally, an 18 km run to the finish.

However, on Wednesday, information came in about discrepancies in Fury's claims that he “finished” the race.

The incident at the Great North Run has become one of the talking points in sporting circles. Are Fury's actions justified in pursuit of victory, or is this just another display of aggression? In addition, an objective assessment of his documentary and his achievements within his personal life, including the relationship with Molly-Mae, also draws the attention of fans.
