According to SunSport, Levy left the club after dramatic discussions with the Lewis family, the major shareholders of ENIC.
The 63-year-old Levy faced criticism multiple times, and in recent years there were protests from fans demanding his resignation.
Although he did not win a single trophy in 17 years, he managed to build one of the most modern stadiums in the world and bring the club to the international stage.
Despite all the dissatisfaction, he led a team that earned the most money in the Premier League. Since his appointment in February 2001, Tottenham has earned more than any other club.
His stubborn negotiating behavior may have hindered major transfers, but he achieved a record fee of 85 million pounds for Gareth Bale, who moved to Real Madrid in 2013.
According to financial expert Kieran Maguire, Tottenham earned 167 million pounds under Levy's leadership.
This result exceeds the profit of any other club by 65 million pounds - Brighton, in second place, earned 102 million pounds.
At the bottom of the table is Chelsea, which has a deficit of 1.257 billion pounds due to excessive spending under Roman Abramovich and Todd Boehly.
Achievements of Tottenham under Levy
Under Levy's management, Tottenham's revenues increased from 48 million pounds per year to 528 million pounds in the 2023-24 season.
It is impressive that this was achieved while the share of spending on salaries decreased from 52% to 42%. Tottenham frequently ranked first in the Premier League in this category.

What has Daniel Levy done for Tottenham Hotspur?
Apart from giving them the best football stadium in the world, a modern training center, regular Champions League games, a first appearance in the European Cup final, and a Europa League victory this year?
For over four decades – the longest tenure of any club chairman in the Premier League – Levy remained quiet on the board, much like a villain from an Austin Powers movie.
For a long time, Levy was criticized, insulted, and bombarded by protests, even though a salary of 3.7 million pounds per year could have eased the pain.
In the end, it was time for Levy's opponents to lay down their placards, as the biggest antagonist in the best league in the world finally left the building.
