Tottenham signs Simons for 52 million: How the star transfer was reacted to.
The transfer of Xavi Simons to Tottenham
According to The Sun: The football club Tottenham has confirmed the signing of a contract with Xavi Simons for 52 million pounds. This can be seen as a slight indication that the club also tried to sign someone from Arsenal.
This promising midfielder has moved from RB Leipzig to Tottenham. The deal became possible after failed attempts were made to sign Morgan Gibbs-White and Eberechi Eze over the summer.

Reactions from fans
When Eze was introduced at the Emirates Stadium, the song 'Let It All Work Out' by Lil Wayne played in the background. Arsenal also released a photo of Eze touching the club logo, with the caption:
“Let it all work out.”
After the failed attempt to sign Eze, Tottenham activated and signed Simons, which became an even more exciting deal. Chelsea also actively pursued the Dutchman over the summer, but Tottenham prevailed in the battle for his signature.
In their Twitter, Tottenham posted a photo of Simons in his new away kit with the joke:
“Let it all work out.”

Many Arsenal fans expressed their disbelief. A Tottenham fan jokingly commented:
“COOOOOOK ADMIN.”
Simons' prospects
Simons will wear the number 7, recently freed up by club legend Son Heung-Min. After signing the contract, the player confessed:
“I am very happy and can’t wait to start. I have dreamed of this for a long time.”
He added:
“This is a big club, and when I met the coach, I knew immediately that this was the right place for me.”
Simons could debut in the game against West Ham after the international break but will not be able to participate in the meeting with Bournemouth.
