Manchester United legend Gordon McQueen blamed his dementia on the consequences of numerous headers, as revealed during the investigation.According to The Sun: The former footballer, who also played for Leeds, passed away in June 2023 at the age of 70. McQueen made over 300 appearances for both clubs and played 30 matches for the Scotland national team.
In 2021, he was diagnosed with dementia. Health issues led his family to seek legal action, where these admissions about the impact of football on his condition were voiced.
“I believe my dementia is a result of playing football, particularly heading the ball,” McQueen said.
