The attempt on the former US president could not have been made from the golf course where Donald Trump was located. This was stated by the acting director of the Secret Service, Ronald Rowe Jr., according to AP.
Ryan Ruth, the suspect in the attempt, has never fired a gun. This was also stated by Ronald Rowe Jr.
It should be noted that the FBI reported that the suspect possessed the weapon illegally, which prompted an investigation in 2019.
On the evening of September 15, shots were fired near Donald Trump, but he remained safe. Trump's headquarters stated that the shooting occurred near the golf club and was not targeted at the former president.
