US President Donald Trump stated that the war in Ukraine 'will end either very quickly or it will never end.' According to him, the US is actively working to end the conflict by negotiating with the presidents of Russia and Ukraine.

'I believe we have serious progress and we are heading in the right direction,' Trump noted at a joint press conference with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The US President indicated that the next step towards ending the war should be a ceasefire.

Trump confirmed a planned meeting on Friday with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Washington to sign a cooperation agreement. 'We will sign a really very important agreement for both parties. Because it will truly bring us into that country (Ukraine). We will work where many people are working... We will have good dealings with rare earth elements and other things that our country needs,' the American leader said.

In response to a question about the possibility of returning occupied territories to Ukraine, Trump confirmed that this issue has been discussed and will be the subject of further negotiations. 'There are a lot of occupied territories. Yes, we talked about it... We will talk about it and see if we can return this or return much of this to Ukraine, if possible,' emphasized the US President.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that London is ready to send its troops and raise aviation into the sky to support a peace agreement in Ukraine. He also emphasized that 'there cannot be such an agreement where the aggressor is rewarded for their aggression.'

'There is a well-known saying from World War II: 'We must win the peace.' History must be on the side of the victim, not the aggressor. The stakes are incredibly high right now, and we are ready to work together to achieve a truly fair agreement,' Starmer stated.

The British Prime Minister also reported that this year the United Kingdom is ready to provide Ukraine with more military assistance than ever before and plans to increase defense spending to the highest level since the Cold War.

When asked about the possible deployment of a peacekeeping contingent in Ukraine, Trump replied that an agreement must first be reached. He also expressed the opinion that the deployment of American troops to support Ukraine will not be necessary, and British peacekeepers 'can take care of themselves.'

Earlier, Trump made statements about a peace agreement concerning Ukraine, peacekeepers, and relations with Zelensky.

He also assessed whether US military guarantees are needed for peace in Ukraine.
