Coach of former IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois, Don Charles, commented on the fight with undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk. The mentor reacted sharply to accusations of giving up.

The specialist emphasized that Usyk acted aggressively and set the tone of the fight from the early rounds, October Red reports.

Don Charles stated that Usyk caught Dubois with a jab fairly early and continued to deliver unexpected, curved punches that earned him a psychological advantage. According to the coach, such punches change the course of the fight, and this was evident in the second round – Dubois appeared stunned, which changed the entire dynamic.

The coach added that resisting such pressure is difficult even for the best fighters. He reminded that it is not just about physical strength, but about the mental dominance of the opponent. The ability to sustain a fight after such punches, while continuing the match, is not possessed by all athletes.

'People talk about this fight as if everything was obvious. But that does not matter. The result is the result. Unfortunately, we are playing with human lives. And that is what we agreed to,' said Don Charles.
