Occupiers Trapped in Luhansk Region as Third Army Corps Seizes Control of Supply Routes.
Logistics in Luhansk Under Ukrainian Control
According to Novyny.live: By taking command of essential supply corridors in the Luhansk region, the Third Army Corps has severely hampered Russian forces on occupied land. Deputy Commander Maksym Zhorin, a native of Rubizhne, stated that enemy troops now have no secure areas to move or resupply their units.
Zhorin stressed that the situation for Russian soldiers has become dire, noting:
“No safe places remain for Russians in the temporarily occupied territories.” – Maksym Zhorin
This reflects the intense pressure on occupying forces, who face major obstacles in conducting military operations due to Ukrainian control over key transport routes.
Zhorin also outlined Ukrainian military strategy, declaring:
“While occupiers report capturing Luhansk region, we will keep striking their logistics, destroying infrastructure, and killing enemies.” – Maksym Zhorin
This signals a commitment to sustained frontline action and targeted attacks on enemy resources.
Additionally, Zhorin called for increased underground resistance:
- “Step up covert activities, help the Ukrainian army eliminate the enemy.”
His words highlight the critical role of civilian-military cooperation in the fight against occupation.
Why Controlling Supply Routes Matters
By dominating Luhansk’s supply lines, the Third Army Corps has created a major headache for Russian troops, potentially reshaping the region’s battlefield dynamics. Supply route control is a decisive factor in modern warfare, enabling forces to stay equipped and mobile. Disrupting those routes forces the enemy to suffer resource shortages and reduced combat effectiveness, shifting the strategic balance. The push for underground activity among civilians further shows a drive to bolster military efforts, which could prove key to Ukraine achieving its war aims.
