US Plans for Greenland
According to The Sun: Officials from the US administration have reported that Trump may make a decision regarding Greenland in 'a few weeks'. US Arctic Commissioner Thomas Dans stated that the president is determined to act at 'high speed' for the annexation of this important territory.
'This is a train route with many stops.'
The state plans to consider development opportunities for this territory, which could significantly alter the strategic map of the region.
In light of these US plans, Greenland may become an important element in global geopolitical processes. Annexation or other actions by the Federal Government could significantly affect the balance of power in the Arctic and relations with other states, particularly with Denmark, which has sovereignty over Greenland.Read also
