According to inkorr.com: The Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Luhansk region has reported on the process of withholding overpayments for state social benefits. Overpayment may occur due to excessive budget funds received by a person or family based on false information about income and property status.
Reasons for Payment Suspension
The Pension Fund explained that the payment of benefits for children in large families may be stopped in cases such as deprivation of parental rights, non-compliance with conditions for raising a child, placement of the child in full state custody, etc.
- deprivation of the benefit recipient's parental rights,
- misuse of funds and failure to provide proper conditions for the full upbringing and raising of the child,
- removal of the child without deprivation of parental rights.
Process of Returning Overpaid Funds
If a family concealed or submitted incorrect data that led to an overpayment, the authorized body determines how much needs to be returned. Overpayments can be returned in three ways: independently, by agreement in full, or through the court.
The report of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Luhansk region outlines the reasons for overpayments for state social benefits and the conditions under which they can be suspended.
