A new tournament officially appeared in boxing.
A new boxing tournament WBC Grand Prix has started
At the WBC conference in Hamburg, it was announced that a new boxing tournament WBC Grand Prix has begun. The event was organized by Turki Al-Sheikh, head of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, and Mauricio Sulaiman, president of WBC. The news was published by Sulaiman on his social media.
The tournament will feature 128 boxers, who will be divided into four weight categories: featherweight, super lightweight, middleweight, and super heavyweight. The main condition for participation is to be under 26 years of age and have no more than 10 professional fights.

The tournament will start with quarter-final matches in February 2025. The final fights will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Vladimir Klitschko, the former heavyweight world champion, was negotiating a possible return to the ring in a fight against IBF titleholder Daniel Dubois.
