According to ТСН: In Odesa, in the very center of the city, a balcony of a residential building collapsed. Two women who were on it found themselves trapped.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the incident occurred on the third floor. Rescuers noted that the women, born in 1941 and 1969, fell together with the structure to the second floor and ended up under the rubble.
Employees of the State Emergency Service successfully rescued both victims and handed them over to doctors for necessary assistance.
As a reminder, an explosion occurred in one of the military recruitment centers in Odesa. Preliminary reports indicate that one person was killed and another was injured.
This incident underscores the importance of safety in residential buildings, especially in older architectural structures. The city authorities and relevant services must take measures to check the condition of such buildings to prevent similar cases in the future. Meanwhile, rescuers once again demonstrated their effectiveness in critical situations, quickly responding to the emergency event. Further investigations are underway to determine the cause of the collapse.
