The DBR revealed the scheme of evasion from conscription: 17 people fled abroad.
According to inkorr.com: The State Bureau of Investigations has completed the investigation into the case of a military officer from Dnipro, who altered data in the military registry to help those unfit for service evade conscription. Thanks to his actions, 17 individuals were able to leave the country.
'Clients' of this scheme were relatives and acquaintances of the serviceman, who were also managed to be taken out of the country.
The man has been charged with violation of the law and obstructing the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He faces up to 8 years in prison, and the case has already been referred to court.
Essence of the case
The results of the investigation indicate that the serviceman regularly altered military registry data to help conceal individuals who are unfit for service. This has led to serious consequences, as it allowed 17 people to evade legal conscription, which is their military duty. Now, the accused is awaiting a court decision that may significantly impact his future life. It is important to prevent such cases in the future to ensure a transparent and fair conscription process for Ukrainian citizens into military service.
The highlighted case underscores the seriousness of the situation regarding compliance with military registration in Ukraine. The actions of the serviceman harmed the system intended to ensure the fulfillment of military duty. Investigating and prosecuting such cases will help maintain order and justice in the mobilization process. Time will tell what consequences such offenses will have for military service in the country.Read also
