Dynamo lost to Paphos in the Champions League: what Markevych said about the defeat.
Kyiv's 'Dynamo' suffered a painful defeat in the first match of the third qualifying round of the Champions League. The team led by Oleksandr Shovkovskyi lost to Cypriot 'Paphos' in Polish Lublin with a score of 0:1, complicating their path to the group stage.
Markevych's opinion on Dynamo's game
“The game left many questions. With ball possession and territorial advantage, the Ukrainian team failed to put enough pressure on the opponent's goal. Mistakes in building attacks, as well as a loss of concentration at the end, led to the conceded goal and disappointment among fans.”
Myron Markevych noted that the team showed problems both in attacking actions and in defense. At the same time, the expert emphasized the lack of decisiveness and that certain episodes were not completed with maximum dedication.
Markevych's opinion on correcting the situation
“For 'Dynamo', not everything is lost yet. The defeat in Lublin dealt a devastating blow to their image, but the situation can be corrected in a week. Only for that, they need to play at maximum capacity, demonstrate character, prove their superiority in individual skills and teamwork. They need to jump higher than their heads.”
In the Champions League match, 'Dynamo' lost to Paphos with a score of 0:1, entangling their path to the group stage. Myron Markevych identified problems in the team and expressed confidence in the possibility of correcting the situation in the following week.
