Shooting in Fastiv during a conflict: one person dead, the criminal faces life imprisonment.
According to inkorr.com: A tragic event occurred in Fastiv: a 53-year-old resident of the city opened fire on a father and his son during a conflict. According to the Kyiv region police, this incident took place on August 31.
'After a verbal argument, the man returned home, took a weapon and returned to confront his opponents. As a result, he fired several shots at the father and his 28-year-old son. The younger of the victims died in the hospital, while his father is still fighting for his life under medical supervision,' authorities reported.
The police seized the firearm and detained the attacker under article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The man has been charged with attempted murder of two individuals, intentional murder, and illegal possession of weapons. For these crimes, he faces up to 15 years of imprisonment or even life sentences.
As a result of this incident, one person died, and another is in the hospital in serious condition. The offender has already faced responsibility, and the court proceedings will soon commence.
This tragedy once again highlights the terrible consequences of conflicts in society and the relevance of issues surrounding arms control. The situation emphasizes the need to discuss ways to prevent similar incidents in the future.
