Two Ukrainian tourists drowned in Greece: MFA reported details of the tragedy.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine confirmed that two tourists from Ukraine drowned while vacationing on the island of Corfu in Greece. This tragedy occurred on September 30. The Embassy of Ukraine in Greece received a report of their death from the coast guard of the island of Corfu. The deceased were mother and daughter, born in 1972 and 1992 respectively.
Representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine contacted a relative of the deceased in Ukraine and informed him of the tragedy. The situation is under the control of the diplomatic mission. In addition, the Ukrainian embassy maintains contact with local authorities, the medical facility where the bodies of the drowned were taken, and the insurance company.
In light of this event, it is worth noting that in India during a religious festival several dozen children drowned, the vast majority of whom were children. During the Hindu religious festival in the north of the country, at least 46 people drowned, 37 of whom were children, as well as seven women. This happened as a result of bathing in rivers and ponds that got out of control due to floods. This tragic event occurred in the state of Bihar.
