Incident in the elevator in Kyiv
According to ТСН: In Kyiv on January 1, in a nine-story building, during a sudden power outage, two people became trapped in the elevator. One of the men tried to open the cabin doors by himself but fell into the elevator shaft, resulting in injuries.
This became known from a report by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv.
At 15:20, rescuers received a signal that a person was in the elevator shaft on Sichovyh Striltsiv Street. During the emergency power shutdown, the elevator stopped between the first and second floors, leaving two people in the cabin. The man who tried to open the doors was injured after falling into the shaft.
Rescuers used hydraulic tools to unlock the elevator doors, extracted the victim on a stretcher, and handed him over to medical personnel for further hospitalization.
Law enforcement agencies are currently investigating the circumstances and causes of the incident.
Furthermore, it is worth noting that from January 2, power cut schedules are in effect in many regions of Ukraine due to the consequences of massive attacks by Russia on energy facilities.
This case highlights the importance of safety in public places, especially during power outages. People must be cautious and adhere to safety rules in critical situations to avoid similar injuries. Current power outage schedules indicate a complex energy situation in the country caused by external factors.
