Kyiv may allow night taxis: how it will work.
Kyiv may allow taxis to operate during curfew hours
According to inkorr.com: The authorities of Kyiv are considering the possibility of allowing taxis to conduct their trips during curfew hours. However, time restrictions on the streets will remain unchanged, sources from Novyny.LIVE in the city administration report.
According to a source from the publication, the military are categorically opposed to changes in the curfew rules, so there is no talk of their reduction. However, at a meeting of the Kyiv Defense Council, a solution was proposed that could allow taxis to operate at night.
The issue was discussed by a special working group that included representatives of major taxi services, officials from the relevant department, law enforcement, and military personnel.
Currently, the development of the algorithm for the operation of this system is underway, and the issue is already at the final stage. According to the source's estimates, taxis may soon be granted permission to serve customers during the curfew hours in Kyiv.
Thus, we are talking about the possibility of granting taxis the right to operate at night during curfew hours, which would significantly simplify the movement of residents in the capital.
Allowing taxis to operate at night will help residents of Kyiv move around the city more comfortably, especially in cases where it is truly necessary. While remaining within the framework of safety, the authorities aim to find a balance between the needs of the citizens and the conditions of wartime.
