Trams in Kyiv Have Been Closed: How to Now Get to the Station and Vidradnyi.
Changes in Tram Traffic in Kyiv
Starting in February, tram routes No. 14 and No. 18, which operate between Podil, the Central Railway Station, and the Vidradnyi area, will be suspended.
Instead of tram No. 14 towards Vidradnyi, a temporary bus route No. 14T will be launched.
The reason for these changes is the need for significant repairs to the tram tracks on Hlibochnytska Street, on the section from Sychovykh Striltsiv Street to Nyzhniy Val Street.
According to the department, this section of tram tracks is 3,500 meters long. The last complete repair was carried out more than 50 years ago.
After replacing the worn tracks, municipal services will also restore the road surface on this street. However, the specific date for the completion of the repair work is currently unknown.
We remind you that new rules for the metro and buses are also in effect, including the procedure during air alerts for Kyiv residents.
