The Ministry of Digital Transformation urged the IT community to rename Russia to 'terrorist country' everywhere.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation urged the IT community to join the #RussiaIsATerroristState flashmob
Using the new initiative, the Ministry invites Ukrainian and global IT specialists to join it. Even while fighting the occupiers on the ground, the war is still ongoing in cyberspace.
The main goal of the flashmob is to change the name 'Russia' to 'Russia - terrorist country' on all websites and online systems where it is possible to choose a country or language.
'A country that shells peaceful cities, commits war crimes, and brings the whole world to the brink of nuclear war deserves nothing else. It is a terrorist country,' said Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
Using the term 'terrorist country' will lead to stronger sanctions against the Russian economy. In addition, it will allow citizens to file lawsuits against the Russian government in American courts and possibly receive compensation from funds seized from Russian state assets.
