The game will take place on July 1, organized jointly by the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the American Chamber of Commerce. Robert Agee, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia, has confirmed the event.

Beyond the athletic contest, the match carries symbolic weight as a celebration of the milestone anniversary. Agee commented:

'I am very pleased to announce that we will hold the first hockey match to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States. On July 1, the hockey game will take place in Moscow. We hope that in this way we will help melt the ice that has formed between us.' Robert Agee

Svetlana Zhurova also weighed in on the event: 'I know that a hockey match between the American and Russian chambers of commerce is currently under discussion—a friendly one. There are such plans for July.'
