Head of Polish diplomacy Radosław Sikorski hopes that NATO and Alliance countries, particularly the USA, will change their position and agree to the shooting down of Russian missiles over Ukrainian territory by allied air defense forces.
In a comment to Ukrinform, Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman Paweł Wroński noted that the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry, Radosław Sikorski, expressed his personal opinion on the necessity of shooting down Russian missiles by allied forces, which are flying towards Poland, over Ukrainian territory. This position has already been criticized within NATO.
The spokesman also noted that NATO countries and the Organization itself have expressed negative attitudes towards this initiative, and negative opinions have also been voiced in the USA. However, Sikorski hopes for a change in the allies' position.
