The PFU found 4 billion 'hidden' hryvnias: who wants to cut payments.
About three thousand former judges and prosecutors receive a lifelong allowance of up to 140 thousand hryvnias per month, while the majority of pensioners have to survive on minimal payments.
Expert in social policy Oleg Popenko stated this in the broadcast of the program 'Social Antipolicy'.
If we take just these three thousand people and bring their pensions to the level that exists for businesses - a maximum of 20 thousand hryvnias, we free up 360 million hryvnias per month in Ukraine. This would allow an additional thousand hryvnias to be paid to 360 thousand ordinary pensioners.
According to him, the existing pension provision system creates a huge gap between different categories of pensioners.
For business, there is a maximum pension of 20 thousand hryvnias. No matter how much you pay in social security contributions, even if your salary was half a million, you will not receive more than 20 thousand. At the same Time, prosecutors and judges can be allocated up to 45 thousand under the new law, and under the old law - all 140 thousand.
In annual terms, according to the expert's calculations, this amounts to over 4 billion hryvnias. 'And we are told - there is no money in the Pension Fund. Here they are - funds. And this does not even take into account all the cases of fictitious disabilities and other schemes,' the specialist emphasized.
The expert also noted the need for a comprehensive audit of the pension system. 'In the last 10 years, such an audit could have been conducted every year. There would have been money to increase pensions and for everything else. But none of the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada has even raised this issue,' Popenko noted.
In his opinion, the lack of political will to resolve this issue is related to the fact that many representatives of the authorities have placed their relatives and acquaintances in the Pension Fund. 'The Pension Fund today is an organization that requires total verification and reform,' the expert concluded.
Earlier, the Ministry of Social Policy revealed the impact of the suspension of US aid on pensions and social benefits.
