Poland announces the most important negotiations on the war in Ukraine: where they will take place.
The 'most important' negotiations on the war in Ukraine will take place
Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski announced a planned meeting of leaders in Warsaw, claiming that these will be the 'most important' negotiations regarding the war in Ukraine.
According to him, he made this statement during a briefing in Katowice, reports RMF24.
Sikorski also emphasized that 'everything is speeding up' and, therefore, next week he will organize a meeting in the format of 'the Weimar Triangle Plus'.
It is expected that besides the foreign ministers of France and Germany, representatives of 'other important European countries' will also be present. In particular, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha and the new High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaia Kallas.
The Polish Foreign Ministry emphasized that the most important negotiations regarding this crisis (i.e., the war in Ukraine) will indeed take place in Warsaw.
He also reported that he has already contacted Prime Minister Donald Tusk regarding the phone call from German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
Sikorski said that Scholz told Tusk about this conversation and presented him with what 'Poland agrees to' - making any decisions about Ukraine without its participation is impossible. Moreover, the minister added that he did not hear statements from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who criticized Scholz's conversation with Putin.
It should be noted that Zelensky reacted sharply to the phone conversation that took place between German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling it a 'Pandora's box'.
