Kremlin Preparing Provocations, Warns Poland’s Sikorski: ‘We Know They’re Planning Something’.
Poland Sounds Alarm Over Russian Threats
According to UATV: Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski has voiced serious concerns about potential dangerous provocations orchestrated by the Kremlin. In an interview published by the Italian newspaper Il Messaggero, he made clear that while Warsaw is not panicking, it is taking threats emanating from Russia very seriously. This warning comes amid ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine, which has caused immense human suffering and severe economic disruption across Europe.
'We are sending a signal to the Russians: we know they are preparing something, just as we did before the invasion of Ukraine.' — Radosław Sikorski
Sikorski’s remarks highlight a growing sense of urgency in Central and Eastern Europe, where officials remain on high alert for any signs of escalation from Moscow.
Rising Security Concerns Across the Region
Poland’s foreign intelligence chief, Paweł Szota, has also warned that Russia could deploy troops without identification insignia to provoke incidents in the Baltic states. Such tactics point to an escalating security threat in the region and underscore the need for close monitoring of potential Kremlin actions. In response, Poland continues to track developments closely to ensure an appropriate response to any emerging dangers.
The statements from Polish officials reflect deepening unease across Central and Eastern Europe about possible Russian moves, especially given Moscow’s aggressive posture in the area. Drawing on its own experience confronting Russian threats, Poland is working to strengthen its defenses and coordinate with allied nations, particularly within NATO, to deter any provocations and prevent new conflicts from erupting in the region.
