Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak announced that three interception missions were carried out against Russian aircraft over the Baltic Sea, involving both Polish and Swedish fighter jets. These operations are part of Poland's broader efforts to safeguard its security amid rising tensions in the region.

Błaszczak further stated that Poland would demonstrate solidarity by supporting other nations if the need arises. On Tuesday at 8:00 AM, the Security Committee of the Polish Council of Ministers will convene to assess the situation. These actions come after the United States warned Warsaw on July 3 about a potential limited armed provocation by Russia.

Additionally, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda had previously cautioned about a possible Russian provocation targeting Poland or the Baltic states.
