According to ТСН: In the Polish town of Lubartów, located 70 km from the border with Ukraine, air raid sirens were heard. This occurred during the morning attack by Russia on Ukraine.

According to the Polish television channel RMF24, the alarm turned out to be false.

Government response to the alarm

Deputy Minister of National Defense Cezary Tomczyk stressed that it is better to activate the siren once too often than to miss a signal about a real threat from the air.

“Every time such a situation arises, I think that we, as a society, are becoming wiser. We need to take reports, sirens, and modulated sounds very seriously, as they relate to potential threats from the air.”

He also noted that the leadership of the Ministry of Defense has distributed night shifts for readiness to respond to threats.

Air threat

Cezary Tomczyk added that the situation occurred twice: first at night there was an air raid in Lviv, and then in the morning Russian fighters took off with hypersonic missiles, which could also pose a threat to Poland.

In addition, the operational command of the Polish Armed Forces reported on Saturday after 4 a.m. about the mobilization of military aircraft due to the activity of the long-range aviation of the Russian Federation, which strikes Ukrainian territory.

These events underline the continuation of military actions between Russia and Ukraine, which affect not only Ukrainian territory but also neighboring countries. Poles remain alert and continue to strengthen their defense capability in response to possible threats from the aggressor. Undoubtedly, such incidents only enhance the importance of security throughout the region.
