A joint NATO-Ukraine center will open in Poland.

In northern Poland, in the city of Bydgoszcz, an official ceremony will take place tomorrow during which the NATO-Ukraine Center for Analysis, Preparation, and Education (JATEC) will attain initial operational capability. This was reported by the Public Relations Service of the NATO-Ukraine Joint Center.
As noted by the Center, JATEC is a unique and unprecedented organization that is governed by NATO and Ukraine. The Center will unite military and civilian personnel from both sides to address various security issues.
According to the statement, JATEC will focus on military and civilian aspects of war and security, covering areas such as multidomain operations, cognitive warfare, comprehensive security, and all-around defense.
'This innovative approach allows NATO and Ukraine to work together, responding to new threats and ensuring a stronger, more integrated defense capability,' the Center noted.
On February 15, 2024, the Ukraine-NATO Defense Ministers' Council (NUC) approved the establishment of the JATEC center in Bydgoszcz. On July 11, at the Washington Summit, NATO member countries officially approved JATEC as the joint NATO-Ukraine Civil-Military Center. On December 16, the North Atlantic Council officially activated JATEC with the status of an International Military Headquarters within the NATO Command Structure under the authority of the Supreme Commander of NATO Allied Forces Transformation.
