The TCK has finally responded whether men aged 50 and older can be mobilized.
The Cherkasy TCK clarified the situation regarding the conscription of men aged 50 in Ukraine. According to the head of the TCK, Oleg Tymoshenko, the information about the restriction on conscripting men aged 50+ is true, but the situation has changed, and now the TCK operates under different rules. The law allows conscripting all individuals up to 60 years old. Regarding specific cases, the TCK follows the directives of the General Staff. Currently, there is a new directive on the conscription and support of individuals over 50 years old. Usually, men over 50 are not included in military units unless they possess necessary specialties. Most of these units have an assault nature, so age restrictions are quite strict. It was previously reported that Ukrainians might lose their exemption due to conscription.
