Five minor children together with their mother were found by the police on the outskirts of Ternopil. The family lived in makeshift tents near the forest. This was reported by Olesya Myalkovska, head of the public relations department of the patrol police of Ternopil region.

Local residents called the law enforcement due to the unusual living conditions of this family near their home. The large family slept on old mattresses.

Upon arriving at the scene and with difficulty finding the makeshift shelters, which were nailed together from sticks and covered with agricultural film, the sight was even more shocking... It was morning, and the family with 5 children aged from 4 to 9 years old were simply sleeping on the ground, having placed a greasy mattress over an equally dirty mat. The peak of it all was walking barefoot, without any shoes or socks.

Myalkovska noted that the mother could not explain the reasons for such living conditions. However, she provided documents confirming her status as the mother of these children.

Currently, the children have been taken into custody, and law enforcement is investigating how the family ended up in such a situation and where they came from in the city.

Earlier in the Transcarpathian region, a man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for sexual violence against his two daughters.

Also, in Lviv, nine people, including five children, were affected by carbon monoxide poisoning on Prince Roman Street. They were taken to the hospital.
