Syrskiy announced a tripling of salaries for military personnel: who will receive new contracts.
Changes in the financial provision for military contractors
According to ТСН: The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskiy, announced important changes in financing for military contractors. He reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are completing the development of a new contract system that envisages a significant increase in payments.
Syrskiy noted that the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff, the government, and the president personally oversee the preparation of the new format of contract service, which will have flexible terms.
“We have developed a contract system according to which a serviceman who signs a contract with very flexible terms will receive decent monetary support. It will be at least three times more than the currently established level,” Syrskiy noted.
Importantly, all existing bonuses and allowances will remain for military personnel.
“At the same time, additional payments, bonuses, and monetary support will be preserved,” the commander-in-chief added.
Furthermore, Syrskiy emphasized that the work on the new contract model has taken a long time and is now approaching completion.
“We have long been working towards this contract, and it is already near the exit,” he summarized.
In addition, Syrskiy commented on the question of whether Ukraine has enough strength to defend itself with an army of 800,000 people, as mentioned in the U.S. peace plan.
These changes in the financing of military contractors are part of the overall reform of Ukraine's defense sector, aimed at increasing motivation and providing decent support for military personnel. The increase in payment levels will not only improve the financial situation of servicemen but also be an important step in strengthening the country's defense capabilities.
