Changes in UBER's Cancellation Policy
UBER has updated its cancellation fee rules considering passengers' complaints about how these fees were charged. According to the new policy, after a driver accepts a ride request, passengers will have a two-minute window for free cancellation. This means that all users will now have the same period for free cancellation of a ride.“We strive to provide a better experience for our passengers and drivers, so these changes were necessary,”the company stated. This step aims to reduce the number of complaints about unfairly charged fees. The importance of these changes is evident: UBER wants to improve the relationship between passengers and drivers while increasing the overall satisfaction level of its users. This could positively impact the company's reputation, as having transparent cancellation rules is one of the key aspects in the service industry.
