Strike on Kharkiv Region: 11 Injured, Including Two Police Officers.
Attack on Kharkiv Region
According to Novyny.live: On May 30, Russian forces targeted the Chuhuiv district in the Kharkiv region, leaving two police officers among the wounded. One officer suffered shrapnel injuries, while the other sustained an acoustic barotrauma. Both were taken to a hospital for medical treatment following the assault.
Throughout the day, Russian troops carried out multiple shelling attacks that hit not only the Chuhuiv district but also the city of Kharkiv and 15 other localities in the region. These strikes resulted in a total of 11 casualties. The injured include residents from several villages:
- In Lozova, a 61-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man were hurt;
- In Riasne, two women aged 47 and 20 were injured;
- In Stepne, a 46-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man were wounded;
- In the village of Dehtyari, men aged 51 and 59, along with a 51-year-old woman, sustained injuries.
Weapons Used by the Enemy
Russian forces deployed a variety of drones during the attacks on the Kharkiv region. Specifically, they used four Geran-2 drones, one Lancet UAV, five Molniya drones, and 11 FPV drones. This situation highlights an escalation of violence in the area and intensifying military operations in eastern Ukraine.
The events in the Kharkiv region once again underscore the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, now lasting over a year. The use of drones indicates that both sides are adapting to modern warfare technologies. The deteriorating situation in this region poses serious risks to local residents' safety and demands urgent action from state authorities and the international community.
